In Allegheny County, a new ordinance passed banning bullying
and holding parents responsible for their children’s actions. Any harassment
that intimidates, emotionally abuses, defames or threatens another person is
defined as bullying in the new ordinance.

Prep Wrestling Bullying Case Settled: Wisconsin Rapids Student Was Repeatedly Harassed By Member of Team
A former wrestler at Wisconsin Rapids High School has agreed
to a settlement that will put an end to his harassment and discrimination
lawsuit. The now 19-year-old, was only a ninth-grade student in Junior High,
wrestling on the high school team when he was humiliated, bullied and sexual
abused by teammates.

Online Bullying On The Rise, Victims Getting Younger
Bella Goria, 13-years-old, has reported being bullied at
school and now online. A student from Northern Guilford Middle School has
created an anonymous account where they’ve been tweeting statements picking on
students’ weight, looks and accusing students of inappropriate, sexual
behavior. Bella’s mother, Tara Goria, was shocked to find someone was talking
about her daughter.
