Facing
History School in New York City offers a new class, “Facing History and
Ourselves,” to encourage students to apply the lessons learned from larger
social issues to their own lives.
The class study aims to create civic minded
students through empathy. It includes case studies about social injustices, for
example cyber bullying, human trafficking, etc, explaining to their students to
understand the circumstances and decision surrounding these events and relating
to own experience and communities.
