Socastee Students Take A Stand Against Bullying

Socastee High School students are taking a stand after the recent arrest of eight students accused of bullying a younger special needs student. Students asked everyone to wear purple, the color for anti-bullying, to the basketball game this week.

Koy Mai, the student body president, said, “It’s disappointing to see our school in such a bad image, but we really plan on fixing it and doing what we can.”
Mai isn’t stopping at just the basketball game, he is trying to get other school districts to join his campaign and sign a petition against bullying.
