One-forth of all schools in the Western New York reported that they did not have a single incident of harassment or discrimination during the 2013-14 school year. Statewide, about 51.4% of the more than 4,000 schools reported zero incidents.
Dr. Amanda Nickerson, the Director of Alberti Center for Bullying Abuse Prevention at the University at Buffalo, stated, “It would be extremely unlikely that a school would have zero incident.”
