Bullied Student in Japan Commits Suicide

This is an article that Becca Levy found about a student in Japan who committed suicide last month and her reaction to such a tragedy.

"I don’t understand how people think that it is okay for any of this to occur. Besides the fact that the child that killed himself was only 13 years of age, he was also forced to, “Practice suicide”. Clearly not only the bully victim, but the bully himself, is troubled, and must get help as well. For someone to be able to believe that it is okay to push someone to “practice suicide” proves that something has gone terribly wrong in their life that needs attention immediately. Both the bully and the bully-ee need help, not just the bully-ee. They are both victims. It is also forgotten how suicide affects everyone. This boys family, friends, classmates that he’s never spoken to, and even us here in America who have read this story, have been affected. This took place in Japan, which shows that bullying is a world-wide tragedy."
