Recent reports have shown that
principals are more likely than the rest of the general public to face violence
or threats. Principals are five times more likely to be bullied than their
students. The increasing levels of stress brought to principals by bullying are
making fewer people apply for the position.
Actions are being taken to reduce the level of bullying among adults. The health of many principals is at risk because of bullying. The Principals’ Australia Institute is working on the creation of a task force which will hopefully drastically reduce the risk of bullying on these educators.
