Research Shows Bullied Students 8 Times More Likely to Bring Weapons to School

A survey conducted by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of American high school students show that those who are bullied are eight times more likely to carry a weapon on school grounds.

The research also showed that those who have been bullied are “ 49 times more likely to have recently carried a weapon to school and 34 times more likely to have carried a gun within the past 30 days.”  Researchers who analyzed the data estimated about 200,000 bullying victims had snuck weapons ranging from guns to knives into school.
