New Age, New Bullies

Today’s new age world flooded with electronics, the Internet and social media has given bullies new channels to reach and harass their victims. Although in a Fox News article, it was stated that overall evidence shows that internet bullying is improving, there are still those occasions where it is in fact occurring. The article also made notice that cyber-bullying still remains a smaller threat than the old-fashioned kind which may come to a shock to some.
The article gives advice to parents to help their children manage relationships in healthy ways and keep an open communication with them. The main point to take from this article is that although the worlds technology is evolving vastly seeming to have made bullying easier, we must not forget about the the face-to-face bullying which is the most common form of bullying. Parents should keep their eyes and minds open to the traditional world where cell phones and the Internet weren’t around and remember that there are still other ways their children can be affected by bullying...which of course is face to face.
