One local parent in Rockford, Illinois decided to help local
children who have been bullied by setting up a bullying event to show these
children that they are not alone. The organizer Carmen Divan set up the event
because she saw her son being abused by others.

WCS Works To Combat Digital Bullying
Warsaw Community Schools has been working to address the
cyber-bullying problem by providing iPads to every sixth grade student that can
be used in school and at home. Every iPad will be monitored by the school and
it will prohibit access to downloading apps that are not age appropriate for
students.

Survey Shows Little Progress on Bullying
A recent survey in Fargo, North Dakota shows that one in
four North Dakota high school students reported they were bullied at school,
and 17 percent of students reported they were bullied online.

School District Investigates More Than 100 Bullying Cases
The Cheatham County school district recently presented their
annual bullying report during a School Board workshop. The district investigated
117 bullying cases just for the past school year including four cases related
to race or national origin, 15 cases were gender based, two disability based
and six involved electronic technology.

Mom Fears Blue Springs District’s Anti-Bullying Efforts Fall Short
Robin Jones, mother of a 12-year-old girl, is speaking out
stating that the Blue Springs School District isn’t doing enough to stop
bullying in their schools. The school district responded, stating that they
