The Cheatham County school district recently presented their
annual bullying report during a School Board workshop. The district investigated
117 bullying cases just for the past school year including four cases related
to race or national origin, 15 cases were gender based, two disability based
and six involved electronic technology.
Beth Batson, district’s human
resources, student services and policy supervisor, states there are no cases
pending. The cases resulted in suspension and expulsion for over 34 students.
About 15 cases were simply resolved with a parent conference.
