With the growing problem of bullying being covered more and
more by the media many different groups have started to promote bullying
prevention and began addressing the issue inside and out of schools. Especially with social media becoming more of
a catalyst in bullying among young people everyone is looking at ways to
prevent it.
ATA Martial Arts, a
nationwide martial arts academy, has started including ways to stand up for
yourself and your peers against bullies. ATA academies across the country are
implementing their program into everyday classes as well as holding special
bullying prevention classes for students to take. They also have been sending packets of
information home to parents of their students on how to recognize bullies and
signs that their child is a victim of this abuse. ATA officials hope to involve local school
administrators to make this bullying prevention program as effective as
possible.
