Jetta Fosburg, decided by that she
wanted to do something good for others and went ahead to cut 14 inches of her
long, blonde hair off to donate to Wigs for Kids. The charity focuses on
helping children with cancer and other hair loss issues.
One would expect other kids at
school to follow the same path and aid in the cause. However, Mrs. Fosburg,
Jetta’s mother, reported to the local news that ever since her daughter cut her
hair “things have not been good.”
Mrs. Fosburg had to pull her
daughter out of school, because Jetta was repeatedly being bullied because of
her short hair. They would say to Jetta that: “She wants to be a boy, she’s
ugly now.”
Although a bullying report was
filed shorty after Jetta’s mom realized her daughter was being bullied, the
school promised to address the issue, but failed to do so. Mrs. Fosburg
proceeded to talk with her daughter’s principal, who responded with “tough it
out” and followed to say how “He didn’t know of any child that had ever died
from words.”
