Bill Mack is now the head of the
School Safety and Technical Assistance Center in Minnesota. After having worked
hard for 30 years on the effects harassment and abuse can have on children, he
decided to retire. But this project attracted his attention and made him
reverse his decision on stepping down.
Mack has now returned to take
advantage of this great opportunity. He’s going to play an incredibly important
role in guiding the state on how to create awareness, and find solutions for
the ever-increasing bullying problem.
The Minnesota State High School
league considered a policy where they would allow transgender athletes to play
on a team of their chosen gender identity. The subject was brought up after
several transgender people testified about harassment they endured in school.
