Tray Chaney, known for playing the character Poot from “The Wire”,
recently released a song and music Video called “Mike Bully”. The song is about a student who stands up
against bullying and has been growing in popularity among students as well as
school administrators.
Chaney has been
visiting schools around Maryland to perform his song and talk to middle school
students about the dangers of bullying and what they can do to prevent it. State officials hope that this somewhat
unorthodox method of bullying prevention will be more effective than traditional
methods as many students look up to actors and musicians like Chaney and can
relate more through his music.
