Recent studies have proven that any
involvement in bullying makes for a worse life outcome versus those not
involved in bullying. Those involved in bullying, whether being the bully or
victim, lead to negative health, financial, behavioral and social outcomes in
adulthood.
Childhood bullying takes the biggest toll on future wealth. Whether
it effects finances directly or indirectly, childhood bullying also leads to
negative health later on in life which becomes costly. Health issues that stem from bullying include
illnesses, serious accidents, obesity, psychiatric disorders, etc. In
conclusion, this study suggests that childhood bullying needs to be more
closely monitored and school personnel should work together with parents to
stop bullying.
