1 in 5 are bullied in NYC high schools


In New York City, one in five city public high school students have been victim of bullying. Bullying mostly takes place either at school or online. Studies show that girls are most likely to be bullied online compare to guys and gay students are being bullied a lot more than straight kids.
According to a recent study for NYC bullying, it states that twenty nice percent of students are often bullied compare to seventeen percent of straight students. Bullying not just affects the victims’ grades but it is also the reason why many attempt suicide or already has ended their lives. Younger teens are bullied a lot more than older ones as well as kids from different ethnicities.
Some recent reports from the bullying survey show the following:

·      18% of public high-school students are victims.
·      29% gays are bullied compared to 17% straight kids
·      21% 9th graders are bullied compare to 16% 12th graders
