A Florida teenager is making a difference among his peers
by highlighting the negative effects bullying can have on students. Jaylen
Arnold, 13, was previously bullied for his disabilities and is using that
experience to raise awareness by speaking to student at school across the
country.
Jaylen has Tourette’s syndrome, Asperger’s, and obsessive-compulsive
disorder. He told a group of Mississippi students how his disabilities made him
an easy target to bullies and how bullying worsened his condition. In 2009, Jaylen founded Jaylen’s Challenge,
to gain bullying awareness and to speak out about his experience. He has
reached over 600,000 students across the country.
