In 2008, BU Coach Kelly Greenberg was criticized for
potential bullying as the result of two scholarship players quit her team based
on allegations of poor treatment. This academic year, Greenberg, 46, is again
under fire and now investigation for alleged bullying after additional player
have made similar accusations.
Four of Greenberg’s players walked away from the
team and their $60,000 per year scholarships, noting emotional damage as their
reason. One player even claimed feeling so distraught that she even
contemplated suicide. The team finished their season with just nine players and
Boston University has launched an investigation on Coach Greenberg in
connection with the bullying claims.
