Anti-Bullying Grades Assess How Well NJ Schools are Addressing New Programs

After the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act was adopted in 2011, New Jersey schools have had to create and implement programs to deal with bullying among students. In March, all of these schools will be required to submit a 20-page self-assessment to be graded on a scale from 0 to 75 with 75 being a perfect score.
The assessment was created by the Department of Education to evaluate each school’s performance to apply anti-bullying measures into their daily activities. So far, some of the grades that have come in have been promising, with multiple high scores. The rest of the grades will continue to come in during the rest of the month.
